491 型制备电泳槽通过连续洗脱电泳技术，能快速有效地分离生物分子。用于天然PAGE、SDS-APGE 或琼脂 糖凝胶电泳，制备电泳槽只需5 小时就能提供纯化的蛋白、核酸及其它生物分子。所分离的生物分子以单独的液相 组分方式提供，并且数量足够进行测序、抗体生产、晶体学及其它下游应用。分子从凝胶底端洗脱出来，进入洗脱 缓冲液流中，收集液体组分。491 型制备电泳槽或小型制备电泳槽都能分离分子量差别仅

制备电泳槽技术资料文件（资料＃1555B）包括数十个带索引的应用说明、公开文献的摘要及产品技术指标。

连续洗脱电泳。样品上样于凝胶上部表面后，分子通过圆柱形凝胶基质电泳而分离成环状条带。条带迁移出凝胶底端，进入洗脱槽内的一个薄薄的洗脱滤板中。下面的透析膜可捕获洗脱滤板中的蛋白。洗脱缓冲液环绕着洗脱滤板周边流入洗脱槽。当条带移出凝胶，它们被拉向洗脱滤板中心，并从收集管进入蠕动泵。泵把分离的分子推向收集仪。分子纯化后，收集于不同的液相组分，可用于测试和定性。

保持凝胶中不同部分的温度是条带分离中获得*佳分辨率的关键。491型制备电泳槽运用一个缓冲液循环泵，下层电泳缓冲液不断地流经冷却芯而被抽吸到凝胶中心，使整块凝胶的温度保持一致。由于小型制备电泳槽使用的凝胶体积小，无需这项操作即可获得同样的高分辨率。
